I was wondering what song to put up on the blog today and this song, Yes, Lord, Yes popped into my head. It’s been a long time since I’ve sung this campfire song. Brings back happy memories for me it does. ๐ Granted I looked at the verse and it was totally unfamiliar to me, I only recall singing the course. ๐

Yes Lord Yes was written by Lynn Keesecker. I was surprised to learn that Lynn is a guy! My assumption was female based on the first name. I couldn’t find out a whole lot about him other than he was born in Oregon. He worked in Nashville and Los Angeles. He wrote four other songs that I know about, but aren’t really familiar to me. Lyrics
I’ll say yes, Lord, yes
To your will and to your way
I’ll say yes, Lord, yes
I will trust you and obey
When your Spirit speaks to me
With my whole heart I’ll agree
And my answer will be yes, Lord, yes
Verse:
Lord, I give you all the glory
For what you’ve done for me (or “for what you’ve given me”)
You fill my life until I overflow
All I have (or “am”) is yours to use
Anyway you choose
You’re the Lord of lords, so how can I say no?
Don’t know that I have ever heard this. It is definitely a bouncy tune sung in this first video you shared. ๐ The lyrics are good – saying yes to what the Lord wills and doing so with our entire being.
