So I started this last night but was feeling rather meh about life. We had a lot of snow falling, and I had a rabbit class to prepare for. So I headed to bed with this word on my brain, not happy with how I originally started it. Today I woke up ill… poor night sleep, cold and coughing. Cancelled out on my rabbit class and spent most of the day sleeping. Then the idea of this poem came upon me, and so we have Settle Baby Settle.
Read and then join us over at Kate’s won’t you?

Settle baby Settle
Momma’s on her way.
Settle baby settle
Don’t cry your life away.
Settle young one Settle
Can’t you hear her steps?
Or does your whimper hide
The helps that comes?
Settle child Settle
Listen to your folks
Answering whys and wherefores
Teaching about the world.
Settle Lad Settle
Growing mighty fast
Discovering skills, Making friends
Learning on your own.
Settle boy Settle
Reaching for the stars
Exploring life on your own
Don’t forget, you’re needed at home.
Settle lad settle
You are not a man quite yet
Busy working, Seeing life
Mentored by someone else.
Settle Momma Settle
Know that you still have time.
Your youngest love has not yet left.
And the bonds are still tight.
Settle momma Settle
Relax and know
God watches close.
Mind that as you plan.
