Miss Kate’s challenge word comes to me at the end of a long busy day. I find myself popping off to sleep at unexpected times so today’s word prompt will most likely be short. 🙂 Today’s word? Challenge.
Challenge, a poem
Sometimes a day is a challenge
Filled with busyness and feeling
On the run
Other times a day is somewhat less so
Filled with busyness and feeling
energized and ready.
What makes the difference?
Today was such a day
Filled from the moment go.
Delivering papers.
Driving an hour.
Meeting and learning.
Holocaust survivor.
Then shopping
Conversation with a lad.
Ruminating
Picking up new to us chairs
Pictures of bunnies.
Supper making
and then on to blog work
the lad to schooling.
This day so busy
and yet
at the end.
I feel good.
Learned, rested in busyness
and yet…
Sleep steals.
Work a challenge.
Stress threatens
Hubby home.
Looks … pauses
“tomorrow’s another day Love”
And today
Is just a good day.
Busyness and all.
Good post. Short and sweet. I admit si went a couple minutes over the time limit- it was my first time participating. I will get better. Anyway I liked your post.

it is very easy to go over the time limit… don’t sweat it. I try to keep mine within the limit but sometimes I fail as well
This is great, Annette, and I LOVE the phrase ‘rested in busyness’.
There is so much truth and depth in those three words.
Beautiful! I try to spend extra time in prayer on days I know will be challenging. But sometimes challenges arise out of nowhere–I find it best to stay equipped!
