Convention looms,
How will it go?
This is a new one,
Bigger show (or so I am told).
Two full days
Speakers galore.
Get, set,
Get, ready,
Now Go go go.
Stop at a sisters
15 minutes a way
A free bed and good food
Chats beg me stay.
Friday I go,
A Full day away.
Some sessions intrigue
Others I blog away.
Curriculum found
Oh joy what bliss
Until I see the bill
GAH, what a mess.
Day two I plan
A later start
Chat with a sister,
Dear to my heart.
Arrive at convention
Full of plans
Listen Joel Beeke
And Linda Crosby.
Different styles
God’s words to speak
Encouragement granted
To hearts that could weep.
But fragrance intervenes
A headache ensues
Move away, try again
Opportunity missed.
Sometimes I wish
People would have a care
To mind what affect
On others they have.
Still in the wondering
I know that it’s hard
To be aware of the
Needs that abound.
Yet home I am early
Sad to say
Opportunity missed
For another fun day.

Join us won’t you? Miss Kate puts up a word prompt almost every Friday. It’s alot of fun!

Dear Annette — Oh, what fun. I love your how you captured the essence of opportunities like this in such spritely verse. Their joys, their yawns and even the wisdom these opportunities inspire. Thanks so much. Carol Ann
thank you for stopping in Carol Ann
I enjoyed reading your post on opportunities missed. Thank you for sharing.
thank you. 🙂
Sorry that it turned out not to be all that you had hoped for. But you turned it into a great post!
It was still a good conference (on Friday) and the vendors were interesting on Saturday. it was nice to chat them up. 🙂
