WSo as I’ve pondered this passage from Mark 6:53-56 I thought about how people gathered whenever they recognized Jesus. In this story they landed at Gennesaret and as soon as they saw him they recognized him. And when they did… they acted. Let’s take a moment to ponder that eh?
When they had crossed over, they came to land at Gennesaret and moored to the shore. And when they got out of the boat, the people immediately recognized him and ran about the whole region and began to bring the sick people on their beds to wherever they heard he was… Wherever he came, in villages, cities, or countryside, they laid the sick in the marketplaces and implored him that they might touch even the fringe of his garment. And as many as touched it were made well.
Mark 6:53-56 ESV

“the faith of those fringe touchers” – I like that phrase. Truer faith is not often found than those who act on something so simple and profound that changes lives as it did.
