In fact the knife that I received is marketed primarily as a gift you would get for a guy, but I like a good jack-knife. I grew up on the farm with one and found it a very helpful tool to keep on you. I found working with my rabbits that having a knife at hand is very helpful, whether for quickly catch a mat, or opening up bags of feed or bales of hay. A knife is a handy dandy tool that I don’t want to be without.
My 12 year is enamoured of this lovely big folding knife that I received. I’ve caught him more than once stealing and tucking it away in a pocket. I finally had to be a kibosh on that as it’s a 4 inch blade and really too long to be a pocket knife (though he does have big pockets) but that I ordered it so that “I” would have a knife at hand when we go camping or away for a weekend walk. One never knows if you’ll need a knife on a walk-about eh?
The ordering process and time to delivery was fast! I was actually quite amazed at how quickly it arrived. Within 10 days (I think it was shorter than that but it was right around my son’s surgery so I can’t be sure anymore). Needless to say I was surprised and delighted. I did an unboxing video but did a horrible job on it so I’m not going to cause you to endure that horrible event. 🙂
In it I talked about well packed it came. Wrapped in bubble wrap inside a box with bubble wrap and nesting material. Then that was wrapped in a bubble wrap as well. Very well protected. The customer service was excellent.
Both the box and the knife has my initials clearly engraved on them. This caused my lad some confusion…what’s with the H!?!?!?! Which of course led to a discussion on nicknames and such like.
