I heard some rumblings here and there that a vote is coming up south of the border. Fractures are showing in my facebook feed. In fact I don’t a whole lot about the American system of voting. I know that people need to go out and do it, similar to in Canada. I also know it’s more regular, unlike in Canada. Something else I know… there are places where there is no vote.
Miss Kate has provided us with the word prompt vote.

There is no vote
So it’s been said
No vote for beast or man.
God didn’t ask
Our opinion first when,
He made earth and heaven.
He created some mystery
Like why are apes so like people?
What makes a platypus work?
Did dinosaurs walk the earth,
When people did?
Or was one day like a 1000 years?
He acted like God
Creating just because
Jehovah wanted his glory seen.
No preening for people,
No shaking of hands.
He just said it, and so it was.
He didn’t ask us if we
wanted a giraffe, mountain,
Hill, dog or cow.
God simply said,
This one I’ll create.
Let’s have a bit of fun.
My glory will be seen in
Flowers, rocks, critters too,
in fact, the mountains will clap their hands.
My glory will be seen
in the works I do,
In the words I say.
He didn’t stop to ask
if we wanted streets of gold,
or a narrow way there.
You see as plain as day
with God
There is no vote.

What a wonderful way to look at the Divine one in control! I appreciate you sharing this…as an American who has voted…I’m not too worried. I assure those who are worried that we have a strong country and it doesn’t matter who is in charge. We will be okay. I should remind them of who is really in control!
Jennifer, FMF
sometimes we forget don’t we? Timely reminders are a good thing.
I *love* this. All creation sings of its Creator! We’ve all experienced Him through it. There’s no vote about whether or not we do; it’s just up to us to acknowledge that we have. Wonderful stuff!
very true. Thank you so much for your kind comment.
Truth! I had no idea you were Canadian ;). This has been one doozy of a year, hasn’t it? Your words of truth resonate. God is good. He is in control.
Oh, it’s been an interesting year on both sides of the border. God is very much in control.
Beautiful and so true Anette. Thank you for sharing. Visit from FMF #11
Thank you. 🙂
Lovely perspective! Thank you.
oh good! 🙂
such great truth and i always love your approach and perspective! thank you for sharing this!
thank you. 🙂
Love this take on voting, Annette!
At the other end of the spectrum…
No matter how hard you have planned,
how many sims you have run through,
you really have to understand
the enemy will be voting too.
You can wargame his reaction
until you are out of breath,
but know well that his action
is chosen to avoid his death,
and thus there may be some surprie
when he appears where you are not,
and you won’t believe your eyes
that you might just be outfought
by a foe did not your manual read,
but in the end, may well succeed.
Ouch!
Good thing God is ultimately in control eh?
Excellent. I appreciate this. This reminder that God doesn’t ask our permission or want our input into His decisions is timely. This hit home so well today. Thank you for the great reminder of just how good and powerful our God is.
God is indeed so good and powerful. And to think, without our voting on it, he meets our every need doesn’t he?
I’m so glad God is seated on the throne and has a perfect plan that will not be thwarted.
it’s a good thing isn’t it?
“With God, there is no vote.” Love it!
thank you Cindy
