Okay, so I think my brain glitched today. I could have sworn the word for today was new, but I guess it’s normal! AH WELL, not changing my post now anymore! But it is a normal thing for me to be out working hard in a garden in the springtime. And this year I got to celebrate a new bunny into my herd. Gregory was gifted to me by a bunny friend and he’s young and somewhat lacking in confidence. He showed his fortitude by going down a rather, to him, scary ramp. Gaining confidence until he was zipping up and down like an old pro. 🙂
Things are New Again
Every Year
It Starts again
The green billowing up
Things are new again.
“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!” 2 Corinthians 5:17

Blue and white
Abounding Colours
Muddy background, getting covered
Things are new again.
Consider the lilies, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin, yet I tell you, even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. Luke 12:27

Raised Beds
Building Again
Homes for vegetables, providing
Growing new food again.
He will also send you rain for the seed you sow in the ground, and the food that comes from the land will be rich and plentiful. In that day your cattle will graze in broad meadows. Isaiah 30:23

Lifting, Hauling
Building, crawling creativity
Freedom, and bravery shown in new bunny
Gregory freely roaming.
The LORD is my light and my salvation; Whom shall I fear? The LORD is the strength of my life; Of whom shall I be afraid? Psalm 27:1

Bit by bit
Completion at hand
The filling in of beds is done
Things are new Again
Whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks through Him to God the Father. Col.3:17

This has been a Five Minute Friday post, I urge you to join us focusing in on the word normal with Miss Kate. Write for five minutes, comment on those that have gone on before, and well… you know… be creative! 🙂
What a cute bunny. That was quite a ramp he had to master.
he is a very cute bunny. 🙂 It was great to see his confidence grow
It looks like you have a big garden that will soon be brimming with the fruit of your labor, and a long-eared helper. It’s good to know that I’m not the only one who got the prompt wrong. New was the right word for you. Thanks for the motivation from your poem. Time for me to get moving in the yard, too.
oh thank you! 🙂 I tell you, getting the word wrong makes me blush, but this poem fit where I was at today as well. Motivation is a very good thing, especially on what for me is a rainy day.
I am thankful you shared new. All the new life and new endeavors encourages me and reminds me that right now is not the new normal. Blessings
this new normal does chafe a bit doesn’t it?
I looked in the dictionary for ‘cute’, and found Gregory’s picture.
Then I looked up ‘poet’, and found yours.
“Behold, I make all things new”,
that’s what Jesus said
in the midst of what they put Him through
before they made Him dead.
But that was in the movie,
that line, it had been moved
from Revelation; surely,
God’s word can’t be ‘improved’?
But perhaps this is inspired,
God taking back the lonely road
to death, once so sad and tired,
taking on Himself our load,
and making new, on Calvary
our place with Him in victory.
Kind of an interesting article I found; I hope I may share the link?

that was an interesting read. thanks for sharing it Andrew. And thanks for sharing your poetry too. 🙂
What a beautiful garden you have! And Gregory is adorable :). You’re not the only one who has mis-read the prompt, hee, hee. I’ve done that a time or two as well.
so nice to know I’m not the only one who messes up! 🙂 I love my gardens, even if they are hard work. Gregory is an absolute sweetie.
Your bunny is adorable and I love your raised beds. We are trying one this year and hoping for the best but the weather has been very odd. Freezing last night and high seventies today. Hoping for the best and wishing you the best! You are off to a wonderful start!
Raised beds are great for growing in, they do tend to dry out a bit faster. They do help protect against frost though. 🙂
I enjoyed the changing rhythm of the poem interspersed with God’s word. Very nice one, again.
thank you. 🙂
