Once upon a time in a far off place
There lived a man in his tiny little space
He built up a business and he made himself a home
And decided that he would never more roam.
And…
I completely lost it. I had it all worked out in my head and started typing and it disappeared on me.
This week’s word from Miss Kate is Place. And I had this poem all set up in my head and it’s annoying how sometimes it all just disappears.

Oh give me a home
A place to call my own
A spot that is a place for me.
I want to stay
Find a place to play.
It’s where I want to be.
One man and two cats
And a boy as busy as that.
A student as well,
I know it’a real swell
And it rounds out our small family.
Our family
Hop Hop bunnies go
Stomp and squeal when things don’t go well.
And possums come and play
Wanting a place to stay.
And find a live trap waiting there.
Waiting there.
Home home is my place
Mice and cats nibble my lace
And guinea pigs squeal
Calling out for their meal.
And bring smiles quick to my face
To my face.
